As You Think

Catch your thoughts“As you think, you travel, and as you love, you attract. You are today where, your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.”-James Lane Allen

You cannot escape the result of your thoughts, but you can endure and learn, can accept and be glad. You will realize the vision(not the tidle wish), of your heart, be it base or beautiful, or a mixture of both, for you will always gravitate towards that which you, secretly most love.
Into your hands will be placed the exact result of your thoughts; you will recieve that which you earn; no more no less.
Whatever your present environment may be, you will fall, remain or rise with your thoughts, your vision, your ideal. You will become as small as your controlling desire; as great as your dominant aspiration.” James Lane Allen

THINK:

If you think you are beaten, you are,

If you think you dare not, you dont,

If you like to win, but you think you cant,

It is almost certain you wont.

If you think youll lose, youre lost,

For out of the world we find,

Success begins with a fellows will

Its all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,

You’ve got to think high to rise,

You’ve got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles dont always go

to the stronger of faster man,

But sooner or later the man who wins

Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!

  1. Zeenat — This was a good reminder to be positive about whatever action you take. I also have to say, like Uzma, I loved what you wrote in the beginning. The very first line captured me….”As you think, you travel, and as you love, you attract.” Well done, Zeenat:~)

  2. @ Uzma @ Sara @ Jay
I am so glad youll loved the first lines. They are indeed very powerful. Thats the reason i chose them to share with you’ll here. I am so Sorry, but when you’ll saw the post earlier..it was the unedited version. I had just penned down the quote without the writers name etc. …in between editing my internet connection just froze…so have finally edited it. James Allen who is the writer of the 2 quotes above was a very famous American novelist and writer of the yesteryears. I have read some of his work…and just had to share these quotes here with all of you.
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your valuable thoughts. always a pleasure.
Please do forgive my little unedited mishap..I am kind of technically challenged that way 🙂

  3. Zeenat,

I love the quote and the poem. The words have such a true meaning. One can think and only stand still but when you take your thoughts and live them, that is life at the fullest.

    Beautiful article as usual.

    1. Yes Bunny, Your thoughts will indeed guide you to the right path. And this right path will surely be the most fullfilling path.
Glad you liked the article. You know your opinion is held at the highest value.
      Lots of love.

  4. That’s really true. Mind is at the apex and is the origin of all further actions that take place in life. First the ripple of thought arises in the mind, then action comes in the outside world. Hence it really is important to keep a close watch on the mind – direct it in the positive direction and keep it away from negativity. That determines whether we succeed or fail in life!

    1. Hi Vijay,
Very true. You have caught the right nerve of this post. Its our thinking that will take us to the right or wrong path in our life. If we can master our thoughts to be positie so will our life.
Thank you for your valuable insight.

  5. Zeenat, that’s one of my favorite poems. Might have sent a copy to all my friends when I was in school.

But this reminder is always welcome (and always applicable) – that you become what you think.

I like Henry Ford’s quote on this as well – Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.

    1. Hi Avani,
I love the quote by Henry Ford…..
I also love it that you always have something to enhance the post. I think we should do one collaborated post. It would really be good and fun. What say? 🙂

  6. Hi Zeenat .. so true – believe you can, and you can. As the other poem says “don’t quit .. when things go wrong ….”

as you say .. “But sooner or later the man who wins – Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!”

One small step at a time .. thanks Zeenat ..

  7. Thoughts are so powerful. They become our belief…and then they become our reality. Such a great reminder, Zeenat, on how we think – and how that really does affect our lives.

  8. Hello Zeenat. Such inspiring words! The Bible says: As a man thinketh, so is he.

Our thoughts, right or wrong, become our reality, so thinking positive thoughts help lead us to a positive life with positive action!

    1. Hi Karen,
The Bible or The Quran and all other Holy Books somehow are so full of wisdom in each and every sentence. Thank you fo sharing such a valuable saying from the Bible. We are what we think. And what we think is the core reason of our success or failure.
Nice to see you here 🙂

  9. Hi, Zeenat! I definitely believe our thinking guides our actions and results. This is a bit of a problem for me because my thinking acts like a pendulum sometimes… oscillating between thinking I’m going to conquer the world and thinking I’ll never amount to anything.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m a Libra, or if it’s traces of a very mild bipolar disorder, but I tend to be of two minds on just about everything… hence my perpetual quest for balance. If I could get both sides of my mind to cooperate, I believe I’d be quite unstoppable.

As is, I try to minimize the unhelpful thoughts and maximize the motivational ones. It’s a start, right?

    😉

    1. Hey Lisis,
So Nice to see you here after so long.
I am a Libra too….no wonder i feel like we have some kind of etheric connection. hmm…mystery solved 🙂
I know what you mean by the mind works like a pendulam…i have that problem too…but what works for me is simple self assurance. I keep telling myself what i need to do and to believe and in time….itjust becomes me. I have been able to get over my negative thinking that way. Try it.
By the way i think you are quite unstoppable now too:) Oh my God..imagine if you really did minimize all those negative thoughts….;)

  10. Zeenat, congrats on being Tumblemoose’s pick! And congrats to me for finding your blog, :)! I’m 100% with you on what our thoughts create. It’s angels like you who raised my thoughts to where they should be, and I “paid it forward” by raising my children on that truth. How proud I am of their receptiveness. Now I relax easily, knowing they’re in this good place of positive thoughts.

Thank you for your efforts to spread the message to those who’ve not yet found it. Your gentle words are traveling far, I’m sure!

    1. Hi Jeanne,
I love how you have brought up your children, with positivity instilled in them since childhood..how can they go wrong when they have such valuable guidance 🙂 Positivity always finds a way!
Thank you for taking the time to come here and read my thoughts. Your appreciative comment made my day. Hope to see you here again.

  11. Yes, indeed, this reminds me of what Kelly learned at Kung Fu camp this summer…

    Thoughts become your words
    Words becme your actions
    Actions become your habits
    Habits become your character
    Character becomes your destiny.

I’m not exactly sure who that’s attributed to but it hits me deeply.

    So yes, think good thoughts!

    1. Hi Jannie,
Building character through positive thinking…Super! Your Kelly is very smart 🙂 Our kids have an uncanny knack to teach us new things..isnt it 🙂 My mum always say “your kids will teach you, all that i never could” Now i get what she means 🙂

  12. What a great thing to read today, and in particular I loved this line: “You will become as small as your controlling desire; as great as your dominant aspiration.” When I read those words I thought about someone I care for very deeply who might appreciate them, as well.
My own thoughts lately have felt very pure, lofty, and loving. As if my god-self has been given more room to operate. Such a peaceful feeling…
There have been many times in my life, though, when a “controlling desire” has kept me playing small, as Marianne Williamson would say. They’ve served as a good reminder, though, that I would rather be striving for my dominant aspirations.
Gosh I loved reading this, and am grateful to you for making it available!

    1. HI Megan,
Such a beautiful feeling indeed….I felt so uplifted just reading your comment. Somehow the love just flows from this comment.
I am glad you loved the post and am happier that you managed to tap into that peaceful, pure and loving god-self. Its a priceless feeling!
